Interview with Wiggle and Scoot!

Today we have something new and super exciting! It's an interview with our lovely monogrammer and the maker of those cute burp cloths and bibs we carry - Emily of Wiggle and Scoot!

Daisy Baby: Can you tell us a little bit about yourself?
Emily: I have a great husband and two wonderful little boys. Wells is six & Sam is two. We have lived in Bethesda for 6 years. We recently bought a new house so these days I am having fun decorating it!

DB: Now tell us a little about your business!
E: My business, Wiggle+Scoot, is a home based monogramming and sewing business. I love shopping and I love fabrics so I created a business that combines both! I search for fabrics that are beautiful and unexpected for bibs and burp cloths...something you might want to have a skirt made for yourself from! I make beautiful and fashionable accessories for babies and toddlers.

DB: Where did your company name come from?
E: The name "Wiggle+Scoot" came from my oldest son's technique on learning to crawl. When he wanted to get from one place to another, he would lay on his tummy and wiggle and scoot himself across the floor! Thus Wiggle+Scoot was born!

DB: What is your favorite product you make?
E: My favorite product I make is the burp cloths. Not only are the the best quality burp cloths out there, they allow Moms to be stylish while wiping spit up! (Note from Daisy Baby: This is not an easy task. I'm fairly sure some of our moms have managed it, though!)

DB: What has been your biggest challenge so far?
E: Definitely how to balance the growing business while still being a stay-at-home mom--My family will always come first, but this business still holds a passion for me.

DB:
Are you planning anything big for 2012?
E: Just continuing to search for unique fabrics that I can turn into beautiful accessories for babies!

She's right - the burp cloths are pretty cute! But don't forget about the bibs. Thank you, Emily! We're excited to see what new fabrics you have in store for us this year!
