Prenatal Series - The Experts Tell All!

Hi there, Mamas-to-be! We here at Daisy Baby hope you’re enjoying the experience, and we’ve put together a little something just for you.

Come along and join us at 7 Essential Evenings for Mamas-To-Be! What is this, you ask? It’s a prenatal series – not childbirth classes, but an experience you won’t get at those childbirth classes! You’ll meet other expectant moms, and learn about various topics, plus you’ll get some spectacular surprises.

Now, I know that socializing, food and surprises just aren’t enough for you… you want to learn something, right? So what will you learn?

From Jen Grosman, Ph.D., and Kirsten Chadwick, Ph.D., you’ll learn about dealing with relationships and emotions both during and after pregnancy. Help with that roller-coaster your little one is taking you on!

From Dr. Julie Bindeman and Nanci Brown, LICSW you’ll get tips and ideas about the possibility (or necessity) of going back to work after your little one is here! Plus, we’ll have a panel of childcare experts to discuss childcare options for your little cutie!

From Mairi Breen Rothman, a midwife and L&D nurse, you’ll hear the inside scoop about labor and delivery.

From Gina Ciagne, certificed lactation consultant and Ursula Sania Sukinik, certified doula, you’ll learn what to anticipate once you have that baby out of your belly and into your arms!

From top health counselor Karen Schachter, you’ll learn what you can and should eat while pregnant and nursing. Let’s take the guesswork out of the age-old question, “Can I eat that?” Plus, you’ll get strategies for meal-planning once your little darling has arrived!

Don’t forget all mamas enrolled in this series will get 15% off at Daisy Baby, and a free Capital City Mamas VIP card! Annnddd… oh yes, there’s more! A bonus prenatal yoga class at lil omm! Oh, and did I mention this was sponsored by Capital City Mamas and Britax, and food will be provided by Naked Pizza? Yum.

So now that you’re raring to go, where do you sign up? You can register at prenatalseries.eventbrite.com. Go on mama, you know you want to. Hope to see you there!

Let’s Talk About…. Spot on Square

We’re constantly bringing new lines into the store, trying out new furniture and new products. Why? We want to find the best items out there! And when we find something we think is pretty fabulous, we want to share it with you. What’s fabulous right now? Spot on Square.

Spot on Square makes furniture – they’re into modern, iconic, minimalist design. Modern is totally on trend right now, and Spot on Square’s design is super-innovative. Example? The Lucite crib from the Roh collection – it’s new, it’s different, and it’s got an esthetic all its own. If you want your child to grow up appreciating quality design, you can start by surrounding your little sweetie with simple, eco-conscious, modern pieces from the very beginning.

Modern design’s cool and all, but maybe you’re looking for natural, earth-friendly furniture for your sweet eco-baby? Spot on Square uses sustainable processes to build their furniture. They also use sustainable materials like bamboo, recycled or reclaimed MDF (made with formaldehyde-free adhesives), and natural colored and locally sourced woods. They use nontoxic, durable finishes – so when your little one starts testing out those new little pearly whites you can be sure your nursery furniture is safe – for your cutie, if not from!

Also fantastic? Spot on Square is US manufactured – in Grand Rapids, Michigan… and it was founded by parents, just like you! Designers Nicole and Robert Springer are parents of three… so you can bet Spot on Square is not just gorgeous, it’s child-friendly, too! Come on in the store and take a look – you can see the Roh Lucite crib in our window (which recently sold, so it won't be around long - come to the store and have a quick peek!), and check out some other pieces too. We look forward to seeing you!
